This is a true, 6,800-meter masterpiece by Mike Young, who has designed some of the finest golf courses in the southern United States. His characteristic emphasis on detail led him to build a course where each hole was designed to conform to the slopes and contours of the natural landscape of Hacienda Pinilla. The frequent risk/reward situations offer different challenges every time you play and the trees, apart from offering refreshing breaks, also represent natural obstacles.

The El Corral Turn House is the Pro Shop and it has its own restaurant. It is an excellent structure because in and of itself, it represents the passion for golf while allowing harmony with the environment and the sport’s tradition.

Fairways: The course is a coastal layout with wide, open fairways, but dozens of links-style bunkers presenting attractive obstacles, while an amazing variety of indigenous trees have been preserved as natural hazards.

Greens: Hard and fast with Tif Eagle design guaranteeing each putt a consistently smooth ride right down to the center of the hole. The bunkers have steep sides and the Scottish angular flair of some will cast a shadow across the green and bring a sharp contrast to holes.

The course: This beautiful championship golf course is ecologically-friendly and has been certified by The Audubon Society, because of its gentle layout surrounded by ancient and majestic native trees. At Hacienda Pinilla, golfers have a course that offers picturesque scenery, immaculate conditions and frequent glimpses of exotic wildlife.

Signature Holes:
Hole #18: with nearly 600 yards from the back tees and the prevailing wind in your face, this is a challenging final hole. Aim for the right center of the fairway and use a fairway wood for your second shot. Watch out for the hidden bunker lurking in the middle of the fairway, about 90 yards in front of the green. A good short iron to a perched green could set you up to end with a birdie.

Hole #7: Beware of this mid-length par 3 that can require anything from a 5 iron to a wedge. Pin placement and accuracy is crucial, because the middle back of this green protrudes treacherously into the lake and the front is guarded closely by bunkers on each side.
